Hey there! I'm Evan.

Evan Fruehauf

I'm an Assistant Librarian at the University of South Florida Libraries, where I work as subject liaison to the Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity, and Computing and the College of Engineering.

My day-to-day involves a mix of AI literacy instruction, building tools like LINK (an AI research chatbot in Copilot Studio), keeping up with the latest developments in AI for research methods, and helping students and researchers actually find what they're looking for.

Outside of work: running trails, obsessing over cooking and recreating takeout classics from scratch, homebrewing small-batch IPAs and meads, and collecting Pokémon TCG cards.

Running & Hiking

Ran the Publix Gasparilla 5K in February 2026 along Bayshore Boulevard. When not racing, hiking trails at Myakka River State Park — one of Florida's best kept secrets.

Casual backyard birding via BirdBuddy smart feeder. Florida has surprisingly good birds once you start paying attention.

Volunteering at Nate's Honor Animal Rescue — because spending time with animals who need people is a pretty good use of a Saturday.
